“Theatre Merchants created a fine production themed on the history of gunpowder at the site of an old Gunpowder Mill in Twickenham. The performance, involving local schools as well as other members of the community was hugely successful and involved a mixture of music, drama, puppetry and stunning lighting effects. It was hugely enjoyed by a large audience who have been asking for it to be repeated on a yearly basis. The actors and technicians in their ‘stable’ are a very talented bunch and I felt it a privilege to work with them. They are, it must be said, also very approachable and more than willing to discuss ideas and a genuine pleasure to work with.”
