It is 1940 and the performance is played in the actual State Dining Room at Syon House. There are dust sheets on the furnishings, windows are in blackout. It is World War ll and both soldiers and nurses are billeted in the House.
In celebration of the 70th anniversary of The Battle of Britain, Theatre Merchants produced ‘ The Dance Card’, a bitter/sweet wartime romance, drawing on real accounts of life at Syon during the war and enhanced by live period dance from The Swing Time Dance Company.
